Visitor Information
Wittenberg sits at the junction of Hwy 29 and 45. The town is 30 miles
east of Wausau and 60 west of Green Bay. It is in the Wittenberg area
that travelers’ begin to see the transition from farm to forest.
The land is rural and scenic with many inviting areas to explore. The Mountain Bay and Wiouwash State Recreational Trails are available for seasonal adventures. In addition to scenic town roads to travel, a state designated Rustic Rural Road connects Wittenberg and Tigerton. This is Timber Country! The area, towns and trails all have a heritage in logging.
Wittenberg is a community of small family businesses that welcome
visitors either by vehicle, bicycle or snowmobile. While in town tour
