Wittenberg has many things to offer for families and tourists alike.

There are many amenities in the area with the Darwin A. Smith Aquatic Center which includes an Olympic size swimming pool, indoor water slide, whirlpool and fitness center. Maple Hills 9-hole golf course, ATV Racing Course, and two recreational trails for hiking and bicycling, bowling alley and many opportunities for hunting, fishing and boating.

Our school district consists of many of the local towns. There are three elementary schools, located in Wittenberg, Birnamwood and Elderon; two middle schools, located in Wittenberg and Birnamwood with the Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School being located in Wittenberg.

An important part of Wittenberg and the surrounding community is Homme Home of Wittenberg which is a nursing home facility located in downtown Wittenberg. It was founded by Rev. E.J. Homme and is home to many senior citizens from around the state.

We also have many events throughout the year that are sponsored by the many organizations in the surrounding communities. Many of them have yearly Homecomings, fishing derbies, softball tournaments, dinners, and church picnics.
