Education
Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District, home of the Chargers, has an
enrollment of approximately 1,306. The school district is dedicated to
meeting the needs of all of the children.
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School has an enrollment of 442. Attached to the high school is the Darwin E. Smith Aquatic Center. This facility includes an Olympic size pool, a zero gravity pool, whirlpool, waterslide, and conference/party room.
The Wittenberg Elementary/ Middle School is a K-8 school with an
enrollment of 417.
The Birnamwood Elementary/Middle School is a K-8 school with an
enrollment of 355.
The Elderon Elementary School is a K-4 school with an enrollment of 92.

The School Forest is located a few miles north of Birnamwood on Hwy. 45. The students and staff have worked hard to raise funds to build a beautiful Nature Center. It is complete with bathrooms, kitchen, and classrooms/conference rooms. There is also a picnic area and nature trails.
